The Story Behind the Single
College was a rough time for me. It was stress upon stress as I worked my behind off trying to keep my head above water in the fashion design program. I barely had time to breathe or to think about anything else let alone focus on my relationship with God and so I felt like I was slipping further away from my purpose and couldn't see clear what His will for my life really was. One day I picked up my guitar, GiGi (what I named her), and this song started flowing from my fingers and words came. "Take this heart of mine and change it to desire to be more like Thee. Give me the clarity to see all You require of me. Renew a right spirit in me, grant me grace and mercy. But more than anything, please don't give up on me." These words became my prayer to God, my cry for help.
